Job summary

Sapear Inc in Charlotte, NC seeks a Java Developer with AI focus to design and build scalable microservices using Java 17/21, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, REST APIs, and Kafka.

You will deploy to Kubernetes/OpenShift, containerize with Docker, work in a hybrid environment, and collaborate with product and security teams to deliver reliable, secure software.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in Java (Java 17/21 preferred).
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and REST API development.
• Experience designing and developing Microservices-based architectures.
• Strong knowledge of Apache Kafka for event-driven processing.
• Experience with MongoDB and NoSQL database design.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes/OpenShift (OCP) deployments, scaling, and troubleshooting.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
• Knowledge of API security (OAuth2, JWT, mTLS) and production support.

Responsibilities

Location: Charlotte NC Must be local in Charlotte - Hybrid

PRIMARY SKILLS

• 1. Strong experience in Java (Java 17/21 preferred)
• 2. Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and REST API development.
• 3. Experience designing and developing Microservices-based architectures.
• 4. Demonstrated experience on at least three of the following key services: Azure AI Foundry, Azure Machine Learning, Document Intelligence, Azure AI Search, Vertex AI, Document AI, LLMs, etc.

Strong Plus:

• 1. Experience with AI/Generative AI solutions, including: Integration with LLMs (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Claude, Copilot, etc.) AI-powered application development and automation. Prompt engineering and AI-assisted software development
• 2. Hands-on experience with Kubernetes/OpenShift (OCP)

Required Skills:
