Job summary

SherlockTalent is seeking a Mid Java Developer in a contract role (12 months with option to extend) in Doral, FL. You will develop full‑stack Java applications, work with OO concepts, and implement REST/SOAP services, SQL queries, and web front‑end integration.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years of experience, Java 8, Spring 3/4, and experience with Tomcat, JUnit, and Git/SVN. You will contribute to design documents and adhere to the SDLC while communicating effectively with teammates.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in CS or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience recommended.
• Strong understanding of OO design and multi‑tier architectures.

SherlockTalent is actively looking for a Mid Java Developer. The ideal individual is a full stack software developer with knowledge of Java, Object Oriented concepts, and web development.

Responsibilities:

• Documents system design solutions
• Sources code using standard requirements
• Follows outlined software architecture and designs provided
• Develops system solutions that meet quality standards and timelines
• Software testing using proven testing frameworks, tools and techniques
• Works closely with quality assurance to remedy issues uncovered
• Follows specified change management process and documentation
• Participates in team meetings, providing input and suggestions
• Follows rules of the organization using the employee handbook, company tenets, and the SDLC to understand those rules.
• Ability to adapt and overcome problems; must be able to multitask and prioritize independently.
• Must have high level of interpersonal and communication skills.
