Job summary

Experis in Newark, DE is seeking two Java Developers to provide technical leadership for scalable enterprise applications. You will drive design, implement, and maintain critical software while guiding teams through the SDLC with a strong emphasis on security and best practices.

You will work with Java/J2EE, Spring, REST and SOAP services, and leverage observability tools to monitor performance and reliability in production environments.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in core Java and enterprise-scale application delivery.
• Strong knowledge of Java/J2EE, OOP fundamentals and design patterns.
• Spring Framework expertise including Boot, MVC, Security, Integration, and Data JPA.
• Experience building RESTful services and consuming SOAP.

Our client, a technology organization, is seeking a Java Developer (DE) x2 to join their team. As a Java Developer (DE) x2, you will be part of the software engineering organization supporting enterprise application delivery. The ideal candidate will have strong technical leadership, a commitment to secure coding and engineering best practices, and the ability to collaborate effectively with business and technology stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions.

Location: Newark, DE

Pay Range: $60-$65/hr

What's the Job?

• Provide technical leadership, direction, and oversight to development teams delivering scalable, high-quality enterprise applications.
• Lead the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of complex applications aligned with business objectives and technology strategy.
• Establish technical architecture and design standards, and guide teams through the full software development lifecycle.
• Review code quality and ensure adherence to engineering best practices, security standards, and organizational development policies.
• Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to translate requirements into effective technical solutions, including integration and performance considerations.

What's Needed?

• Core Java and enterprise development experience, including high-volume, enterprise-scale application delivery.
• Strong experience with Java/J2EE and distributed system development, with solid Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) fundamentals.
• Experience with Java design patterns and strong coding standards, including code review practices.
• Spring Framework expertise including Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, Spring Integration, and Spring Data JPA.
• API and integration development experience, including building and consuming RESTful web services (REST/JSON standards) and familiarity with SOAP web services.
