Job summary

Accenture Flex in Chicago is seeking an experienced Java backend developer to drive software solutions across multiple teams. The role emphasizes modern frameworks, microservices, and active collaboration to deliver scalable, high-performance systems.

You will own Java backends, participate in Agile practices, and contribute to Spring Boot and Kafka-based architectures, while maintaining code quality and performance. This is a full-time, on-site position requiring five days per week in Chicago.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support current and developing new software solutions.
• Use modern frameworks and agile practices to deliver scalable high performing solutions tailored to specific business needs.
• You are expected to be a subject matter expert collaborate and engage with multiple teams contribute to key deliveries and provide solutions to problems for your immediate team and across multiple teams.
• Support and maintain existing Java and C applications.
• Take ownership of specific software components and ensure their quality and performance meet project standards.
• Collaborate with people and learn and teach others.

This role requires 5 days a week on-site in Chicago, IL.

Basic Qualifications:

• A minimum of 5 years of Java Enterprise backend development experience
• High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience developing Microservices using Java Spring Boot and Kafka.
• Advanced proficiency in Agile Team Practices
• Experience with Unit Testing Framework and Spring Boot
• Experience with Apache Kafka and Microservices Architecture
