Job description

What will you be doing?
  • Design, develop, maintain, and deploy Java-based applications throughout the full software development life cycle, including requirements analysis, coding, testing, and production deployment.
  • Develop and maintain enterprise applications by integrating backend components, APIs, and libraries to support business‑critical processing and system integration.
  • Design, develop, and support distributed applications with a focus on performance, scalability, reliability, and optimization using multithreading, caching, and concurrency control techniques.
  • Review and improve platform architecture to enhance performance, maintainability, system stability, and reduce technical debt.
  • Provide technical support for applications, troubleshoot and resolve issues, ensure production stability, and assist with verification of deliverables during deployment.
  • Collaborate with IT teams, business users, and technical partners to support ongoing enhancements, system integration, and operational requirements.
  • Ensure software quality and stability by performing unit and integration testing, validating deliverables, and assisting with production deployment and system monitoring.

Minimum Salary: $189,592 per year

Maximum Salary: $195,000 per year

The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above includes only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.

Purpose of the role

To design, develop and improve software, utilising various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues.

Accountabilities
  • Development and delivery of high‑quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
  • Cross‑functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
  • Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
  • Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization’s technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
  • Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.
  • Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.
