Butler America Aerospace is seeking a Java Developer - WebMethod Engineer to upgrade CCS Java services from Java 8 to 11+, refactor APIs, and validate integrations with Documentum and WebMethods. You will collaborate with Kiro to accelerate modernization activities and ensure seamless end-to-end communications.

The role supports a 3–6 month contract, with remote or Seattle, WA work options. Strong Java expertise and experience with CI/CD tooling are required.

Qualificações

• 5+ years Java development experience (Java 8 and newer).
• Strong understanding of JDK 11 changes and migration considerations.
• Experience with REST, Spring/Spring Boot, and integration patterns.
• Familiarity with JMS, SOAP/REST integrations, or middleware systems.
• Experience reviewing and validating AI-generated development outputs.
• Git, Jenkins, Maven/Gradle proficiency.

Responsabilidades

• Upgrade CCS Java services from Java 8 to Java 11+.
• Refactor code impacted by deprecated APIs and library updates.
• Redesign and validate Java integrations with the new Documentum environment.
• Collaborate with WebMethods developers for end-to-end communication.

• Review AI-generated refactorings and recommendations; participate in code reviews and CI/CD improvements.

Java Developer - WebMethod Engineer

Role Summary

This role supports the CCS modernization effort by upgrading existing Java components from Java 8 to Java 11+, refactoring affected code, and ensuring smooth integration with upgraded Documentum and WebMethods components. The developer will partner with Kiro to accelerate analysis, refactoring, and modernization activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Upgrade CCS Java services from Java 8 to Java 11+
• Refactor code impacted by deprecated/removed APIs, library updates, and new Java features
• Redesign and validate Java integrations with the new Documentum environment
• Collaborate with WebMethods developers to ensure seamless end?to?end communication
• UseKiro to accelerate:
• Codebase analysis
• Automated refactoring proposals
• Test generation and gap identification
• Review and validate AI?generated refactorings and recommendations
• Participate in code reviews, CI/CD improvements, and automated testing
