Job summary

Playtech Open Platform (POP) Team seeks a backend engineer to modernize systems and add new services. You will work on distributed backend components, optimize performance, and ensure reliability while contributing to architectural decisions.

You’ll collaborate with experienced engineers, engage in code reviews, and help advance engineering practices. Expect mentoring, training, and hands-on development with Java, Spring, and modern tooling.

Qualifications

• Solid knowledge of modern Java (Java 21/25 preferred) incl. multithreading/concurrency.
• Strong problem-solving with algorithms and data structures.
• Understand distributed systems and backend design patterns.
• Knowledge of databases and SQL/NoSQL usage.
• Commitment to quality, maintainability and tests.
• Experience with Spring, Hibernate/JPA, Git, Docker.
