Job summary

evoke is seeking a Junior Java Developer to join our Leeds team in an agile, collaborative environment. You’ll contribute to designing, developing and maintaining software for our betting platform using Java, Spring Boot, Kafka and AWS/Kubernetes. Live within an hour’s commute of Leeds is preferred.

You’ll learn, grow and work across the SDLC with dedicated time for professional development and team support while delivering customer-focused software in a fast-paced, responsible gambling context.

Qualifications

• BSc or higher in Computer Science or a related subject.
• Recent graduate.
• Experience developing software.
• Experience working as part of a team with knowledge of operating systems, programming languages or databases.

We're looking for a talented Junior Java Developer to join our growing team in Leeds. Working as part of a collaborative and agile environment, you'll play a key role in designing, developing and maintaining high-quality software solutions that support our business and customers. Trading Engineering maintains and develops our sports betting platform. We work in agile teams to build customer-focused software, with attention to flexibility, performance, responsiveness and resilience. Our technology includes Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, databases, Kubernetes and AWS.

What you will be doing

• Developing your software engineering skills with dedicated time for learning and support from your team
