Job description

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Software Engineer for our client in the financial industry, located in Phoenix, AZ, Charlotte, NC, and Dallas, TX.

This is a 24+ month contract position.

Responsibilities:

1. Consult on or participate in moderately complex software engineering initiatives and deliverables.
2. Analyze and evaluate software engineering challenges requiring an in-depth understanding of variable factors.
3. Contribute to resolving technical challenges while ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
4. Collaborate with client personnel and cross-functional teams to meet software engineering goals.
5. Assist in designing and developing scalable, high-performing applications.

Required Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience in Software Engineering or equivalent experience through work, consulting, training, military service, or education.
• 4+ years developing scalable Java-based applications.
• 4+ years developing or consuming REST-based web services.
• 2+ years working with SQL or NoSQL databases.
• Experience working in Scrum teams with familiarity in CI/CD tools.

* Hands-on experience with:

• Apache Kafka
• MongoDB
• APIGEE Gateway
• Microservices
• Event-Driven Architectures

* Strong knowledge of cloud-based computing.

* Proficiency in Object-Oriented Design (OOD) and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).

* Experience with major database engines, including Oracle, SQL Server, and DB2.

* Understanding of technology architecture, including distributed and client-server technologies.

* Experience designing and developing modern web applications and mobile technologies.

* Experience building microservices based on event-driven architecture and domain-driven design.

Pay Range: $44-54
