Job summary

Covetus is seeking a seasoned Java developer for on-site roles in Irving, TX (also Tampa, FL and Rutherford, NJ listed). The candidate will design and implement enterprise Java applications using Java 8+, Spring, and microservices, collaborating with clients and teams.

The role requires hands-on experience with domain-driven design, CI/CD pipelines, unit testing, and strong communication to attend customer meetings and gather design documents.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with Domain Driven Design and building microservices from monoliths.
• Expert knowledge of Spring ecosystem: Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Integration, Spring Data Flow.
• Java 8+ development, NoSQL databases, and Spring framework experience.
• Strong core Java including multithreading, distributed caching, fault-tolerant logic.
• Experience tuning distributed applications and writing unit tests.
• Experience setting up CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of OOP and Test-Driven Development.
• Proficiency with Maven, Jenkins, and Git for build and version control.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to design and implement Java components and gather design documentation.
• Willing to work from client locations and attend customer meetings.

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills

• Knowledge of Domain Driven Design concepts and designing and developing Microservices from Monolith architecture
• Expert knowledge of Spring ecosystem (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Integration, Spring Cloud Data Flow, etc.)
• Develop enterprise-grade applications using Java 8/JEE (and higher), No SQL, Spring, among other tools
• Hands-on experience with Core Java Technologies with attention on multithreading, distributed caching, & fault-tolerant logic
• Hands-on experience in performance tuning distributed applications and building unit tests.
• Experience is setting up CI/CD pipeline for different platforms.
• Understanding and experience in Object-Oriented Design Principles & Test-Driven Development
• Understanding and experience using continuous build tools like Maven / Jenkins / GIT
• Strong Analytical and communication skills
• Design, develop, and implement Java components and applications
• Gather, clean, and prepare design documents.
• Work from client locations, attending customer meetings regularly.
