Job summary

Robotics Technologies LLC is seeking a senior backend developer in Dover, DE. This is a true software development role focusing on Python, AWS, and cloud-native design; not infrastructure or data engineering.

You will lead with hands-on coding daily, craft scalable services using AWS Lambda, Step Functions, and Terraform, and ensure high quality through solid testing and design. We value strong communication, US-based experience, and a pragmatic, strategic mindset for building robust cloud

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software/cloud development experience preferred.
• Extensive hands-on AWS experience.
• Strong Python development experience, typically 5+ years.
• Experience with AWS Lambda.
• Experience with Terraform and IaC.
• Experience with Kafka.
• Experience with AWS Step Functions.
• Strong CloudWatch experience.
• Strong system design and cloud architecture knowledge.
• Must be highly hands-on and actively writing code.

Responsibilities

• Write production code daily as a senior backend developer.

Job Summary
This is a true software development role, not an Infrastructure, DevOps, Platform, or Data Engineering position. The ideal candidate is a senior backend developer who has evolved from Java development into Python and AWS cloud development and continues to write production code daily.
Quality is the priority. Lead/Architect-level candidates are welcome only if they remain highly hands‑on.

Required Qualifications:

• 8+ years of overall software/cloud development experience preferred.
• Extensive hands-on AWS experience.
• Strong Python development experience, typically 5+ years.
• Extensive experience with AWS Lambda.
• Experience with Terraform and IaC.
• Experience with Kafka.
• Experience with AWS Step Functions.

• Significant professional experience working in the USA is strongly preferred.
