Job summary

Siri InfoSolutions Inc in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a senior Java Developer for a 6+ months contract onsite. The ideal candidate has 8+ years of Java experience, strong OO design skills, and is familiar with Oracle/MySQL and unit testing frameworks.

Amex project experience is mandatory. You will lead design and implementation, align with business requirements, mentor teammates, and drive tasks within an Agile SDLC.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8+ years of Java development experience.
• Strong knowledge of object-oriented design patterns.
• Experience with Oracle or MySQL and SQL queries.
• Expert in unit testing with JUnit/Mockito.
• Experience with web development or REST/SOAP web services.
• Understanding of software development principles and SDLC.

Responsibilities

• Determining project requirements and developing work schedules for the team.
• Delegating tasks and achieving daily, weekly, and monthly goals.
• Liaising with team members, management, and clients to ensure projects are completed to standard.
• Take up the technical responsibility of the entire Project or Product
• Design components and applications according to business requirements.
• Contribute as a technical consultant for feasibility study (technical alternatives, best packages, supporting architecture best practices, technical risks, breakdown into components, estimations)
• Ensure teams quality and consistency in velocity by following SDLC guidelines, Agile methodology, Unit Tests and performing code reviews
• To prepare and submit status reports for minimizing exposure and risks on the project or closure of escalations.
