Description

As part of the Software Engineering team, this position will be an integral part of a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, energetic, and high-performing environment at the heart of the business unit’s digital transformation. The role involves expanding advanced software capabilities critical for enabling business partners to realize efficiencies and cost savings across the fleet.

Note: Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing to work on a W2 basis. Benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k with company matching, and life insurance. Rate: $50 - $80/hr W2.

Responsibilities

1. Collaborate with application developers, database architects, data analysts, and data scientists.
2. Develop, construct, test, and maintain architectures for data processing.
3. Design and deploy data pipelines for large, complex data sets.
4. Automate processes, perform data quality checks, and handle error recovery.
5. Build new data pipelines and automate data enrichment solutions.
6. Ensure systems meet business requirements and industry standards.

Experience Requirements

Key Technical Skills

• Java Spring Boot
• AWS Services (S3, EMR, Glue, Lambda, Aurora, CloudTrail, SNS, SQS, CloudWatch)
• Terraform
• EMR databases (Glue Catalog, Lake Formation, Redshift, DynamoDB, Aurora PostgreSQL)
• REST APIs and API gateways
• SQL and data warehouse architecture
• Kafka/Messaging, preferably Confluent Kafka
• DevOps pipelines using GitHub & GitHub Actions

Additional Requirements

• Experience with native AWS technologies for data and analytics.
• Proficiency in Python, NodeJS, and workflow automation.
• Strong background in Kubernetes, Distributed Systems, Microservice architecture, and containers.
• Deep knowledge of IAM roles and Policies.
• Experience with AWS monitoring services and Event-Driven Architecture.
