Job summary

Infosys is hiring a Technology Consultant 1 in the United States. You will assist in requirements gathering, contribute to design and coding, and help test and deploy software within the SDLC framework.

The role requires strong Java and Spring experience, plus SQL skills and a proactive approach to production support. Relocation or travel may be required; a Bachelor’s degree is required along with eligibility to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• Experience with Core Java concepts including OOP, collections, streams, concurrency, and exception handling.
• Experience in Java/J2EE with Spring (Spring Boot, Spring MVC); Struts experience valued for migrations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in interviewing and gathering user needs and documenting stakeholder requirements.
• Participate in design discussions to capture software specs and create process documentation.
• Develop and document code for new applications according to design specs.
• Execute test plans, analyze results and report defects to improve software performance.
• Support integration of new features and smooth transitions within the system.
• Monitor live applications, troubleshoot issues and document maintenance procedures.
• Document coding practices, testing methodologies, and technical solutions for the team.
