Job summary

Sabre Systems, LLC is seeking a Software Developer, Journeyman to contribute to Navy aircraft mission systems. You will design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Java, Spring, and Hibernate, working on P-8A Poseidon platforms.

Join an Agile team, collaborate with product managers and senior engineers, participate in reviews, and mentor junior developers while delivering scalable, high-quality software and thorough technical documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with 5+ years Java experience.
• Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot, Hibernate, JPA.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and web services.
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL and SQL.
• GIT version control and Maven build tooling.
• Ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance; US citizen.

Responsibilities

• Participate in full software development lifecycle activities including requirements, design, development, integration, and test.
• Design and architecture of software systems for scalability and performance.
• Collaborate with senior developers and architects to create technical designs and specifications.
• Write clean, efficient Java code following best practices and develop backend services and microservices with Spring/Hibernate.
• Implement features based on business requirements and debug defects.
• Conduct code reviews and write tests to ensure quality and standards.
• Work with cross-functional teams and participate in Agile ceremonies.
• Provide mentorship to junior developers and create technical documentation.
