Job summary

BayOne Solutions in Sunnyvale, CA is seeking a Java-based backend engineer to design and build distributed, scalable e-commerce infrastructure using Kafka, REST APIs, No-SQL and SQL databases.

The role requires 5–7 years of hands-on Java experience, strong data structures and algorithms, and a proactive, collaborative mindset. Hybrid work, Mon–Fri 8am–5pm.

• Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and team meetings.
• Collaborate with Architecture, Product Management and Operations to deliver scalable, reliable systems.
• Develop domain expertise and apply it to solving product challenges.

Responsibilities

• Build platforms and systems infrastructure using a strong background in distributed systems, network system design, and large‑scale database systems.
• Research, analyze, design, develop, and test solutions that align with business and technology strategies.
• Participate in design discussions, code reviews, and project‑related team meetings.
• Collaborate with other engineers, Architecture, Product Management, and Operations teams to develop innovative solutions that meet business needs in terms of functionality, performance, scalability, reliability, realistic implementation schedules, and adherence to development principles and quality goals.
• Develop technical and domain expertise and apply it to solving product challenges.
