Job summary

Curate Partners is seeking a Java Backend Developer to join a standalone project focused on enhancing and modernizing an existing enterprise platform. The ideal candidate will understand business logic, navigate an existing codebase quickly, and implement backend enhancements.

Responsibilities include developing backend services with Java, building microservices, writing SQL, and supporting modernization efforts including migration from Python to Java.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software development experience; 5–6+ years preferred.
• Experience with microservices architecture.
• Experience in an Agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance backend services using Java
• Analyze existing code and implement new functionality and enhancements
• Understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Build and maintain microservices
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries
• Support modernization efforts, including migration of services from Python to Java
• Collaborate with engineering, UI, and business teams
• Troubleshoot issues, optimize performance, and participate in code reviews
