Japanese English Bilingual Software Test Engineer (#34776)

A global software testing and field test company is now seeking a motivated and bilingual - Japanese / English validation engineer / software test engineer to join their team in Plano, TX.

This position is a full-time, exempt position with a benefits package.

Responsibilities:

• Perform validation & verification of specific infotainment systems for customers.
• Set up and coordinate test environment.
• Capture all necessary logs and report bugs to developers.
• Implement test tactics that effectively assess all software aspects.
• Analyze and revamp reported defects.
• Collaborate with other engineers to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Track and record all testing defects and resolutions.
• Partake in the design and invention of test cases and support.

Job Requirements:

• Native or Bilingual Fluency in Japanese and English (Read, Speak, Write).
• 0 - 2 years of software testing experience including functional tests, system tests, regression tests.
• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering OR Computer Science required.
• Keen root-cause analysis skills.
• Effectiveness in isolating conflicts, assessing issues, and distinctly communicate the sources and symptoms of issues to others.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environments.
• Remarkable organizational and record-keeping skills.
• Availability to travel up to 50% of the time.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to be flexible to work effectively with a wide variety of people and to work responsibly and effectively in a multicultural environment.
• This position includes working in a manufacturing and/or warehousing work environment. While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 30 pounds, lift in excess of 30 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.

Preferred Experience:

• Automotive infotainment systems testing experience (Apple Car Play/ Android Auto).
• Android, MOST, and Linux experience.
• GPS Simulator experience.
• Experience in the creation of test plans and test cases based on technical specifications.
