Job summary

Sunrise Enterprises Inc. is seeking an Employment & Direct Support Professional for the Janitorial Services Department.

The role trains and supervises individuals with disabilities to work in janitorial environments, ensuring high-quality cleaning and disinfecting of assigned buildings during shifts. Responsibilities include providing janitorial training, assisting participants to develop workplace skills and behaviors, and maintaining program documentation and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• At least one (1) year of janitorial or supervisory experience or acceptable combination of experience, preferred.
• One (1) year of working with individuals with intellectual & developmental disabilities preferred.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, Clean Guru, Paycor, and SetWorks preferred.
• General knowledge of janitorial cleaning products and equipment.
• Able to work independently, displaying initiative and creativity in the workplace.
• High attention to detail.
• Ability to read, write, and follow verbal and/or written instructions, reasonable accommodations will be made for a person with a disability under ADA.
• ODL is required and must have an insurable driving record by Sunrise insurance carrier.
• Pass drug screen including marijuana/THC, background check, which will include fingerprints, and an additional CJIS Background Check.
• Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid Certification.

Responsibilities

• Review emails, work schedule, crew assignments, check equipment & supplies required to perform the work and comply with PPE requirements.
• Perform vehicle checks before and after returning to janitorial office.
• Inform supervisor when materials or products need to be purchased.
• Perform detailed and thorough janitorial services for every client, including dusting, disinfecting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, cleaning windows and surfaces, and trash removal.
• Utilize tools and supplies safely and efficiently as per procedures with a safety-first approach.
• Understand proper chemical use and SDS protocols.
• Resupply client items as instructed.
• Maintain a safe work environment and report safety hazards.
• Maintain security of client facilities and Sunrise equipment.
• Complete duties in a timely manner as directed by supervisor.
• Utilize janitorial software to track work and document progress.
• Submit all documentation on time per procedures.
• Attend meetings, training, and committees.
• Ensure high quality of service delivered to participants.
• Safely drive crew to account locations.
