Job summary

Automation Personnel Services seeks a detail-oriented Janitorial Technician to maintain cleanliness and hygiene in a semiconductor manufacturing cleanroom environment in Sugar Land, Texas. You will be responsible for cleaning, organizing, stocking, and waste removal across offices and production spaces.

The role offers a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm with a $16.50 hourly pay rate. Expect tasks such as floor care, chemical handling with PPE, and routine facility upkeep.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 6+ months of porter experience is preferred.
• Familiar with cleaning and sanitizing techniques.
• Flexible with working hours and be punctual.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to multi-task and work under minimal to moderate supervision.
• Hearing and visual ability to observe and detect signs is required.
• Subject to extreme heat with temperatures above 100 for periods of more than one hour.
• Subject to vibration and hazards.
• May be exposed to a manufacturing environment and wear PPE.

Responsibilities

• Clean buildings by emptying trash, dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and cleaning surfaces as assigned.
• Properly use cleaning solutions and chemicals with proper PPE to remove stains and clean surfaces.
• Operate indoor floor scrubber machines when necessary.
• Clean parking lot areas, walkways, entryways, and hallways.
• Follow proper SOP for removal of garbage, recycling, and production waste.
• Respond to other cleaning-related issues in a timely manner.
• Water plants in the buildings according to the schedules.
• Clean MOVCD lab per instructions.
• Inspect and stock supplies in break room, bathrooms, sanitation room, and other common areas.
• Detect and report defective materials or unsafe conditions to the supervisor.
• Cross-train on other duties or areas as assigned.
