Job summary

Westrock Coffee is seeking a Janitorial Technician to maintain sanitation across equipment and facilities, ensuring compliance with SQF level 3 standards. You will manage cleaning records, titrate chemicals, and work with the Sanitation Supervisor on safety and continuous improvement programs.

You will perform routine inspections, supervise labeling of equipment, assist audits, and collaborate with coworkers to keep the plant clean and compliant.

Responsibilities

• Maintain sanitation, equipment and facility cleaning programs and documentation as required.
• Clean offices, conference rooms, restrooms, breakrooms, and lobby.
• Perform pre-op and post-op inspections to ensure clean facilities and equipment.
• Keep plant exterior clean and trash emptied on time.
• Manage inventory of cleaning chemicals and tools.
• Complete tasks per the master sanitation schedule; perform PMs.
• Label cleaning equipment properly.
• Assist internal and 3rd party audits of SQF and FDA systems.
• Report sanitation issues to the Sanitation and QA Supervisor.
• Collaborate with coworkers to ensure daily compliance.
• Operate required cleaning equipment as needed.

Job description

The Janitorial Technician will facilitate and execute the cleaning of equipment and facilities, titrate industrial cleaning chemicals, and operate Janitorial Technician programs and correctly manage cleaning records and documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory, food safety, and environmental laws. The candidate will work directly with Sanitation Supervisor to manage plant safety, sanitation, and continuous improvement programs to ensure that the facility is maintained at SQF level 3 standards for cleanliness. This position reports to the Sanitation Supervisor and has no direct reports.

Job Duties:

• Ensure all sanitation, equipment and facility cleaning programs, and documentation are completed according to policy and guidelines
• Ensures the housekeeping and cleanliness of the offices, conference rooms, restrooms, breakrooms, and lobby.
• Conducts required pre-op and/or post-op inspections to ensure the facilities and equipment are clean prior to start/stop of operations
• Ensures the cleanliness the plant exterior (associate entrances, docks, dumpster areas, and QA/QC lab) and assuring trash in emptied on a timely basis
• Manages the inventory of cleaning chemicals and cleaning tools to ensure adequate supplies are always available
• Completes tasks and duties as outlined in the master sanitation schedule efficiently
• Performs routine PM's on sanitation equipment to ensure the equipment is functioning properly
• Ensures ALL cleaning equipment (pump sprayers, foaming unit, sinks, etc.) are properly labeled
• Assists and participates in internal and 3rd party audits of SQF and FDA systems to help ensure compliance
• Reports all food safety/sanitation issues to the Sanitation and QA Supervisor
• Routinely collaborates with co-workers to ensure daily compliance in sanitation and help ensure guidelines are followed throughout the plant
• Operate all required equipment as required

Qualifications:
