Job summary

GDI, Inc. looks to hire a reliable on-site Janitorial Supervisor to oversee, train, and direct the janitorial staff at our client site. You will ensure safety, meet quality standards, and participate in daily cleaning tasks as required.

Working Monday to Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, you will designate shifts, inspect areas, address issues with HR, and enforce safety policies. Strong leadership and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• 1 year of janitorial supervisory experience preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to show judgment and to work independently and lead the team.
• High integrity required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and train janitorial staff in the building.
• Designate shift and area work assignments.
• Manage employee relations or performance issues quickly and appropriately; document and report to management or HR.
• Inspect the jobsite regularly to identify quality concerns or project work needed.
• Identify and communicate the need for any special project work to management.
• Use floor cleaning equipment as needed (buffer, walk behind, spot-carpet cleaner).
• Respond quickly and appropriately to customer concerns or complaints.
• Enforce all safety policies and procedures; immediately report and investigate accidents.
• Complete training courses as required.
• Cleaning restrooms, breakrooms, common areas, dusting and trash removal.
• Sweeping, mopping and vacuuming.
• Advanced floor care work as needed.
