Night Manager (NM) Job Description

Night Managers (NM) are supervisors, coaches, and detailed (white glove) inspectors. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure all scopes of work are executed in the buildings you oversee. This involves meeting with crew supervisors (IC), reviewing scopes, providing building-specific details, communicating complaints and requests, confirming resolution with photos, managing crews on nighttime projects such as floor work, and completing administrative tasks like sending nightly inspection recaps and closing out tasks in the company software.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Maintaining an organized set of keys or key cards for your buildings
• Answering all phone calls from clients and crews from the start to the end of your shift, which begins at 4 pm
• Performing a final walk-through, called "finaling," to ensure the building's scope was 100% completed
• Ensuring all crews adhere to the company dress code and use only approved, commercial-grade equipment and chemicals
• Working with crews during the first three nights of any new account to ensure proper planning, task execution, and scope completion

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Working hours: Typically from 6:00 pm to 2:30 am
• Reliable transportation to travel between accounts across the Hampton Roads market
• Janitorial and handyman experience is a plus
• High school diploma or equivalent experience in the commercial janitorial services industry
• Strong planning, organizational skills, and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Innovative mindset with a focus on continuous process improvement
• Proficiency in MS Office and Internet skills
