Job summary

Summit Building Services is seeking an area supervisor to lead janitorial teams serving commercial buildings in the West Cleveland area, including Westlake, Fairview Park, and North Olmsted. You will supervise staff, train new hires, manage coverage, and coordinate supply orders to meet client specifications.

The role offers 30-40 hours weekly, with evening shifts from 5pm to 12am across Monday through Saturday, and a pay rate of $19.50 per hour.

Job Skills / Requirements

Summit Building Services is looking for an area supervisor to join our janitorial team! This position would service commercial buildings in the west Cleveland areas: Westlake, Fairview Park, North Olmsted, Elyria & surrounding areas. You would be assisting with coverage, training new employees, detail work, and assisting with supply orders.

Hours & Pay

30-40 hours weekly: Monday - Saturday, 5pm-12am on a varying schedule

Pay: $19.50 hourly

Job Duties Include

• Work with employees to handle all client requests or complaints in a timely manner
• Supervise, train, motivate, and develop team members
• Work with HR to ensure all jobs are properly staffed and trained
• Arrange for coverage in the event of an employee absence
• Disciplinary action and/ or termination of employees when necessary
• Perform regular inspections of buildings to ensure that specifications are being met
• Correct deficiencies in buildings whenever necessary
• Complete work tickets
• Send reports to Area Manager
• Recommendation of special project work when needed
• Complete ongoing education to gain competency in their position
• Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the company's policies and applicable laws.
