Romanow Building Services is hiring a full-time Supervisor for the Tri-City area (Saginaw). The role oversees scheduling, training, safety, and quality inspection across sites, with a focus on keeping accounts profitable and operations smooth.

The position is a full-time evening shift with occasional weekend work. Candidates need 2+ years in janitorial services, at least 1 year in supervision, and a HS diploma or GED. Benefits include health insurance, weekly pay, a company vehicle, and training.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Directly control budgeted man-hours for locations.
• Inspect sites with Otuvy to ensure quality and retention.
• Assist in developing and improving work schedules.
• Train personnel for each site under responsibility.
• Ensure safety standards are followed.
• Reallocate work as required for staffing or requirements.
• Resolve day-to-day operations issues and inform management.
• Adhere to all RBS/Client rules.
• Coordinate and motivate subordinates and workloads.
• Build rapport and communication with subordinates.
• Solicit ideas and participation from employees.
• Keep subordinates informed and engaged.
• Recognize good ideas and provide feedback.
• Counsel employees on concerns affecting the company.
• Set and pursue high standards with subordinates.
• Identify employees for promotion and expanded duties.
• Submit all required safety, timekeeping, and reports.
• Maintain stock of equipment and supplies on site.
• Evaluate methods to improve performance and reduce costs.
• Handle customer complaints per procedures.
• Perform front line duties as needed.
• Implement contract changes when required.
• Other duties as assigned.

Join a growing Michigan company providing janitorial and floor maintenance for over 60 years. We are accepting applications for a full-time Supervisor in the Tri-City area (Saginaw). The supervisor oversees the associate's scheduling, training, safety, and quality inspection.

Purpose: Ensuring safe and efficient operations by managing accounts and employees to deliver high-quality services and maintain the company’s profitability.

Responsibilities:

• Directly control budgeted man-hours for assigned locations.
• Inspect assigned locations using Otuvy to ensure that work performed satisfies company and customer quality standards to ensure account retention.
• Assist management in developing and improving work schedules.
• Train personnel for each site you are responsible for.
• Ensure all applicable safety standards are being adhered to.
• Reallocate work as required due to personnel shortage or special requirements.
• Resolve day-to-day operations problems and make management aware of them.
• Ensure all RBS/Client rules are adhered to.
• Coordinate and motivate subordinates and their workloads. Clearly understand actual hours versus control hours and how these impact the account and company.
• Build good rapport and communications with immediate subordinates.
• Solicit employee ideas, solutions, support, and participation.
• Keep subordinates informed.
• Praise subordinates and recognize good ideas.
• Give employees honest feedback of job performance.
• Counsel employees on personal concerns they may have about the company, management, proposed changes, or events by clearing up any misunderstandings.
• Set high standards and keep subordinates working toward them.
• Identify and develop employees for promotion and additional responsibilities.
• Ensure all paperwork is submitted as required by RBS (safety, timekeeping, reports, etc.)
• Maintain an adequate stock of equipment and supplies on site.
• Continually evaluate methods, procedures, and materials for purposes of improving performance and reducing cost of operations.
• Ensure the proper handling of customer complaints and problems in accordance with established procedures.
• Perform front line duties as necessary to satisfy the customer.
• Implement changes in contractual requirement when needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education:

A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required.

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years’ experience preferred in janitorial services, with a minimum of one year of supervision.

• Prefer knowledge of cleaning operations.
• Must live within the Tri-City area.
• Must have good communication skills, be well organized, and complete tasks promptly.
• Ability to follow directions from the operations manager and customer.
• Excellent attendance and being on time are a must.
• Minimal Technical Skills: PC/software: Basic skills in Excel/Word/and other Microsoft Office components.
• Be "POSITIVE AND ENTHUSIASTIC."

Must be 18 years of age, have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation required, and must be able to pass a background check, fingerprinting, & drug screening.
