Tessera is seeking a dedicated and professional Janitorial Supervisor with a positive attitude.
The Janitorial Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of the janitorial and floor crew in all housekeeping activities at Bangor/Keyport. Typical duties include but are not limited to: Supervise, coordinate, and train crew in various janitorial activities. Ensure all employees receive the required training, certification, and/or medical clearance needed to perform work assigned, including new hire orientation and on-the-job training is completed for all new employees. Ensure safety procedures are practiced and strive to maintain an accident-free environment. Ensure that company rules, regulations, and policies are followed by all employees supervised. Schedules routes to ensure adequate service and adjusts schedules as necessary. Address personnel issues/concerns. Conduct progressive disciplinary action, when necessary, in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). Responsible for completing various reports and schedules such as route schedules, training agendas, attendance, evaluations, various employee documentations, payroll, timekeeping, accident reports, and Quality Control recommendations. Ensure all areas of the hospital are clean, sanitary, safe, orderly, and remain in a functional environment. Conduct Quality Control inspections on completed work and all operational equipment. Ensure quality service to meet the contract requirements. Monitor employee performance and complete Probationary and Annual Performance Evaluations for all employees supervised. Mentor and coach employees with disabilities and facilitate reasonable accommodation with assistance from a vocational/Human Resources representative. Conduct supply and equipment inventory. Responsible for the issue, turn-in, and securing of all government and Tessera keys/vehicles/phones. Ensure that buildings are secured, and safety measures are taken when exiting. All Other Duties as Assigned.
