Job summary

The Facilities Group National is seeking a Full Time Service Worker in Columbia, SC to supervise janitorial staff during their shift and ensure the day’s scope of work is completed safely and efficiently.

You will monitor performance, communicate assignments, and uphold health and safety standards while delivering quality service and responding to customer feedback to achieve high satisfaction.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of janitorial experience.
• At least 1 year of lead or supervisor experience.
• Proficient using computers and MS Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Lead your shift by assisting the manager in ensuring the day’s scope of work gets done.
• Ensure that the assigned janitorial duties are completed.
• Assist the manager in applying work standards for janitorial employees in accordance with company practices.
• Monitor, measure, and report to the manager on performance during the shift.
• Communicate daily assignments and messages from the manager to the janitorial staff.
• Follow guidelines for proper maintenance of all equipment.
• Problem solving and troubleshooting as needed during the shift.
• Ensure health and safety rules are adhered to during the shift and address related matters effectively.
• Maintain housekeeping standards to ensure a clean and safe workplace.
• Respond to customer complaints ensuring proper handling to achieve satisfaction.
