Job summary

IslandWood on Bainbridge Island is seeking a high-energy Janitorial Services Assistant to help keep our campuses clean and welcoming for students, staff, and visitors. This part-time flex role requires reliability for morning, evening, or weekend shifts and a pay rate of $21.07 per hour.

You will assist with event setup and breakdowns, routine cleaning, and ensuring classrooms, bathrooms, dining rooms, and other buildings are maintained.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months of professional janitor experience in the hospitality industry.
• Must be able to understand and follow safety guidelines.
• Physically able to walk, stand, bend, twist, kneel, stoop, climb ladders and stairs.
• Able to push, lift and carry up to 70 pounds.
• Washington State driver’s license and ability to obtain licenses for system or vehicle operation.

• Must comply with and maintain a drug-free work environment.
• Must pass child safety screening post offer.

Responsibilities

• Assist with event setups and breakdowns including lifting and moving furniture.
• Event cleaning, routine cleaning, and occasional deep cleaning projects.
• Scheduled turnovers and cleaning of classrooms, bathrooms, dining room, and other buildings.
• Cleaning, mopping, window cleaning, waste removal, recycling separation.
• Communicate inventory and equipment status to the Hospitality Services Manager.
• Campus security and nightly lock-up of buildings; evening emergency assistance.

This position is eligible to receive Sick & Safe leave with a maximum annual accrual of 40 hours.

Required Qualifications:
