Job summary

Kellermeyer Bergensons Services, LLC is seeking a Porter in Louisville, KY to join our Janitorial Services Team. You will perform cleaning duties, interact with customers daily, and help maintain high-traffic sites with a focus on reliable service.

Starting pay is $16.00 per hour, with shifts Mon–Fri from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. This position offers opportunities to grow, contribute to a team, and support client operations in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift and move totes up to 49 pounds.
• Stand and walk for 10–12 hours.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and manuals in English (Spanish where required).
• Effective communication with internal and external customers.

Position Summary:

• The Porter provides excellent cleaning services, often requiring the need to interact with customer and prioritize work based on the customer daily work needs. This role requires work to be completed in high volume and heavy traffic sites, or as an onsite individual crew member, where successful daily customer interaction and fulfillment of related requests, within the scope of site work, is key.
• The Porter works directly withthe customer daily and maintain excellent customer relations while executing customer requests and meeting daily janitorial duties.
• The Porter has a broad knowledge of cleaning and janitorial processes.
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to lead and provide solutions to various problems.
• Other responsibilities as directed by manager.

Requirements for our Porter Positions:

• Ability to lift and move totes up to 49 pounds
• Walking in and around the facility with great frequency throughout the entire shift
• Must be able to stand and walk for up to 10-12 hours
• Ability to carry out detailed, or written instructions
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenanceinstructions, procedure manuals, and safe handling for chemicals sheets/documents (generally in English; may have in Spanish where state required)
• Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers
• KBS utilizes the KBSPresence mobile timekeeping software for accurate recording of employee work hours, attendance management, completion of required training, and distribution of important employment-related information. All non-exempt employees are required to download and use the KBSPresence app on their personal mobile devices to clock in and out for their shifts and breaks. In accordance with applicable local laws, cell phone reimbursement is provided to support the use of personal devices for work-related tasks.
