Job summary

CSI International, Inc. is seeking an experienced Janitorial Area Manager to oversee and support janitorial staff, ensuring customer expectations are met or exceeded.

The role carries operational accountability for the assigned account, including training, scheduling, and quality control, with a focus on safety and service excellence. Responsibilities include managing budgets, staffing, inspections, onboarding, payroll review, and maintaining supplies.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years progressively increasing management experience in the janitorial industry.
• Working knowledge of building maintenance areas: restroom sanitation, office cleaning, carpet care, hard floor care, equipment operation, chemicals, MSDS, safety.
• Ability to meet deadlines and make sound decisions under pressure.
• Strong customer service skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and strong organizational abilities.
• Able to multi-task and work independently with integrity.

Responsibilities

• Manage budgets, P&L statements, quality control, staffing, training, work assignments and timecards.
• Conduct regular quality control inspections with Site Supervisor and/or customer.
• Determine staffing levels to satisfy Scope of Work within budget.
• Train and supervise janitorial staff; onboard new employees including hands-on training.
• Assign shifts and areas; ensure timely response to customer concerns or complaints.
• Review timekeeping and payroll documentation to ensure accurate pay.
• Maintain cleaning supplies inventory and enforce safety policies.
• Identify needs for special projects and communicate to management.
