Job summary

IFS is seeking a full-time Janitorial Crew Member to join our team. The role involves cleaning building floors, restrooms, and common areas, with day/night shifts and weekend availability.

You will follow safety rules, read instructions in English, and work with a team, reporting issues to Lead/Manager. Benefits include health insurance, life insurance, and a 401(k) plan; union‑represented under the applicable CBA.

Qualifications

• Experience in building and warehouse cleaning work.
• Ability to carry out detailed but uninvolved oral or written instructions.
• Communication skills to relate to officials, staff and public in a courteous manner.
• Disposition to perform other duties as assigned.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and safe handling for chemicals sheets/documents.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain building floor surfaces.
• Clean furniture, walls, glass, mirrors, fixtures, machines and other equipment.
• Gather and empty trash.
• Service, clean and supply restrooms.
• May move furniture or fixtures.
• May extract carpet (small jobs).
• Prepare cleaning solutions according to specifications.
• Monitor and report facility issues requiring repairs.
• Monitor building security and safety.
