Job summary

IFS, the union affiliate of KBS, invites you to join our Janitorial Services Team as a Janitorial Crew Member. Work schedules vary with weekends and start times from early morning to early afternoon. Multiple full-time and part-time openings are available, offering benefits with a union-backed workplace.

Responsibilities include cleaning floors, furniture, restrooms and applying safety practices. You may move light items, handle supplies, and report facility issues promptly for a safe, clean

Qualifications

• Experience in building and warehouse cleaning work.
• Ability to follow oral or written instructions.
• Courteous communication with officials, staff and public.
• Willingness to perform other duties as assigned.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and operating manuals.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain building floor surfaces including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, vacuuming, degumming and spot cleaning.
• Clean furniture, walls, glass, mirrors, fixtures, machines and other equipment.
• Gather and empty trash.
• Service, clean and supply restrooms.
• Move light furniture or fixtures as needed.
• May extract carpet for small jobs.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment per instructions.
• Prepare cleaning solutions according to specifications.
• Monitor and report facility issues requiring repairs.
• Monitor building security and safety after operating hours.
• Ensure supplies are available for each shift.
• Report supply requisition needs to Lead/Manager.
