Job summary

IFS is hiring a Janitorial Crew Member in Minnesota. The role includes cleaning and maintaining floors and surfaces, trash removal, restroom servicing, and basic supply management.

Shifts vary, including early mornings and weekends, with 30+ hours per week for full-time benefits eligibility. Experience in building and warehouse cleaning is preferred, along with the ability to follow written and oral instructions and read safety procedures in English.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain building floor surfaces by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, vacuuming and spot cleaning.
• Clean furniture, walls, glass, mirrors, fixtures, machines and other equipment.
• Gather and empty trash; service and supply restrooms.
• Move light furniture or items as needed; may extract carpet on small jobs.
• Prepare cleaning solutions and operate cleaning equipment safely.

IFS has an immediate full-time opportunity to join our Janitorial Services Team as a Janitorial Crew Member. Work Schedule: Days/nights vary, including weekends

Shifts Available:

• 4am-10am 7 days a week

Summary Of Duties:

• Clean and maintain building floor surfaces, including but not limited to, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, vacuuming, degumming and spot cleaning
• Clean furniture, walls, glass, mirrors, fixtures, machines and other equipment (e.g. Dust, wash, vacuum, and polish)
• Gather and empty trash
• Service, clean and supply restrooms
• May move furniture, light fixtures or other items manually or with hand truck
• May extract carpet (small jobs)
• Execute proper use of all equipment
• Clean and maintain cleaning equipment per instructions (e.g. rags, mops, machines, tools and buckets)
• Prepare cleaning solutions (water, detergents and other chemicals) according to specifications
• Monitor and report facility issues requiring repairs (notify Lead, Site or Zone Manager)
• Monitor building security and safety (lock doors after operating hours and ensure electrical appliances are turned off, etc.)
• Properly stack and replace cleaning items and tools
• Ensure supplies are available for each shift
• Report supply requisition needs to Lead/Manager

Requirements For Our Janitorial Crew Member Position:

• Experience in building and warehouse cleaning work.
• Ability to carry out detailed but uninvolved oral or written instructions.
• Communication skills to relate to officials, staff and public in a courteous manner.
• Disposition to perform other duties as assigned.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and safe handling for chemicals sheets/documents (generally in English; may have in Spanish where state required).
