Responsabilidades

• Perform routine cleaning and sanitizing of assigned airport facilities, including passenger terminals, restrooms, hallways, offices, seating areas, and other designated spaces.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors to ensure clean and safe walking surfaces.
• Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces, including door handles, counters, handrails, seating areas, and other frequently used areas.
• Empty trash receptacles, replace liners, and properly dispose of waste in designated collection areas.
• Clean windows, glass doors, mirrors, and other surfaces as assigned.
• Dust and wipe down furniture, fixtures, counters, and other surfaces.
• Remove spills, stains, debris, and other materials that may create cleanliness or safety concerns.
• Perform periodic deep-cleaning tasks and assist with special cleaning projects as assigned.
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain airport restrooms in accordance with established cleaning schedules and sanitation standards.
• Monitor restroom conditions throughout assigned shifts and respond promptly to cleaning needs.
• Identify and report plumbing issues, damaged fixtures, supply shortages, and other maintenance concerns.
• Maintain cleanliness in high-traffic passenger areas while minimizing disruptions to airport operations.
• Respond promptly to urgent cleaning requests, spills, and other operational needs.
• Follow assigned cleaning routes, schedules, and supervisor instructions.

Position Overview

The Janitorial Cleaner is responsible for performing daily cleaning, sanitizing, and general custodial duties throughout assigned areas of Tulsa International Airport. This position plays an important role in maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and overall safety of airport facilities.

Responsibilities include cleaning restrooms, passenger waiting areas, corridors, offices, and other designated spaces while ensuring all assigned areas consistently meet TFG Aviation's cleanliness, safety, and quality standards.

The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced airport environment.

Key Responsibilities

General Cleaning and Janitorial Services

Perform routine cleaning and sanitizing of assigned airport facilities, including passenger terminals, restrooms, hallways, offices, seating areas, and other designated spaces.

Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors to ensure clean and safe walking surfaces.

Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces, including door handles, counters, handrails, seating areas, and other frequently used areas.

Empty trash receptacles, replace liners, and properly dispose of waste in designated collection areas.

Clean windows, glass doors, mirrors, and other surfaces as assigned.

Dust and wipe down furniture, fixtures, counters, and other surfaces.

Remove spills, stains, debris, and other materials that may create cleanliness or safety concerns.

Perform periodic deep-cleaning tasks and assist with special cleaning projects as assigned.

Restroom Cleaning and Sanitation

Clean, disinfect, and maintain airport restrooms in accordance with established cleaning schedules and sanitation standards.

Clean and sanitize toilets, urinals, sinks, countertops, mirrors, partitions, and restroom fixtures.

Replenish restroom supplies, including toilet paper, paper towels, soap, and other designated products.

Empty restroom trash receptacles and properly dispose of waste.

Monitor restroom conditions throughout assigned shifts and respond promptly to cleaning needs.

Identify and report plumbing issues, damaged fixtures, supply shortages, and other maintenance concerns.

Ensure restrooms remain clean, stocked, and presentable for passengers and airport personnel.

Airport Operations and Customer Service

Maintain cleanliness in high-traffic passenger areas while minimizing disruptions to airport operations.

Respond promptly to urgent cleaning requests, spills, and other operational needs.

Follow assigned cleaning routes, schedules, and supervisor instructions.

Maintain a professional appearance and courteous attitude when interacting with passengers, airport employees, and customers.

Assist passengers with basic directions or refer questions to appropriate airport personnel when necessary.

Communicate cleaning concerns, maintenance issues, and unusual conditions to supervisors.

Work cooperatively with team members to ensure assigned areas meet established quality expectations.

Safety and Compliance

Follow all TFG Aviation safety policies, airport security requirements, and applicable OSHA standards.

Properly use, handle, label, and store cleaning chemicals in accordance with established procedures and Safety Data Sheets (SDS).

Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) when performing assigned cleaning tasks.

Use wet-floor signs, caution barriers, and other safety measures when cleaning floors or addressing spills.

Identify and immediately report unsafe conditions, damaged equipment, injuries, incidents, and potential hazards.

Properly operate cleaning tools and equipment in accordance with company training and manufacturer instructions.

Maintain assigned cleaning equipment and properly store supplies after use.

Comply with airport identification badge requirements and restricted-area access procedures.

Teamwork and Professional Conduct

Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and consistent attendance.

Follow supervisor instructions and complete assigned duties within established timeframes.

Maintain respectful and professional interactions with coworkers, supervisors, airport personnel, and passengers.

Participate in required training, safety meetings, and operational briefings.

Qualifications

Previous janitorial, housekeeping, custodial, or commercial cleaning experience preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements

This is an active, hands-on position that requires:

Standing and walking for extended periods throughout assigned airport facilities.

Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, pushing, and pulling.

Regularly lifting and moving cleaning supplies, trash bags, and equipment.

Frequently lifting and moving up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Performing repetitive cleaning motions, including sweeping, mopping, wiping, and vacuuming.

Pushing and maneuvering janitorial carts and cleaning equipment.

Working in a busy airport environment with varying operational demands.

Work Environment and Scheduling
