Job summary

TFG Aviation is hiring Floor Care Technicians at Tulsa International Airport to support a new janitorial contract launching November 1, 2026. You will operate commercial floor care equipment and maintain hard-surface and carpeted floors across designated facilities.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in commercial cleaning or floor maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily floor cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, vacuuming, and polishing.
• Operate commercial floor care equipment, including automatic scrubbers, buffers, burnishers, and vacuums.
• Perform specialized floor maintenance, including stripping, waxing, refinishing, spray buffing, and burnishing.
• Maintain hard-surface floors, carpets, and other assigned flooring materials.
• Remove stains and debris to maintain clean and safe surfaces.
• Perform scheduled deep-cleaning and floor restoration projects.
• Inspect, clean, and properly maintain floor care equipment.
• Follow safety procedures and use caution signs as needed.
• Identify and report maintenance concerns and safety hazards.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet expectations.

Position Overview

The Floor Care Technician is responsible for performing routine and specialized floor cleaning and maintenance throughout designated airport facilities. This position involves operating commercial floor care equipment, maintaining various floor surfaces, and ensuring that assigned areas consistently meet company cleanliness, safety, and quality standards.

The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, pays close attention to detail, and enjoys working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

Perform daily floor cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, vacuuming, and polishing.

Operate commercial floor care equipment, including automatic scrubbers, buffers, burnishers, and wet/dry vacuums.

Perform specialized floor maintenance, including stripping, waxing, refinishing, spray buffing, and burnishing.

Maintain hard-surface floors, carpets, and other assigned flooring materials.

Remove stains, scuff marks, spills, and debris to maintain clean and safe walking surfaces.

Perform scheduled deep-cleaning and floor restoration projects.

Inspect, clean, and properly maintain assigned floor care equipment.

Safely handle cleaning chemicals and follow established safety procedures.

Place appropriate caution signs and barriers when performing floor maintenance.

Identify and report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, and equipment issues.

Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet operational expectations.

Follow all company policies, airport security requirements, and workplace safety standards.

Perform additional janitorial and floor care duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Previous experience in commercial cleaning, janitorial services, or floor maintenance preferred.

Experience operating commercial floor cleaning equipment is highly preferred.

Knowledge of floor stripping, waxing, buffing, and refinishing techniques is a plus.

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and established safety procedures.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Dependable, punctual, and committed to maintaining a professional work environment.

Ability to complete required company training and meet applicable airport security and badging requirements.

Physical Requirements

This is an active, hands‑on position that requires:

Standing and walking for extended periods.

Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, pushing, and pulling.

Frequently lifting and moving up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Safely maneuvering commercial floor care equipment.

Working in a busy airport environment with varying operational demands.
