Job summary

AAA Northeast is hiring a Janitorial Specialist to maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe environment across our facilities in Providence. The role involves cleaning restrooms, break rooms, cafeterias, and common areas, as well as restocking supplies and assisting with event setup.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, at least 1 year of commercial janitorial experience, and OSHA custodian training upon hire.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years previous experience in commercial janitorial work required.
• Must complete OSHA required training for custodians upon hire required.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and other common areas.
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors.
• Empty trash and recycling bins and ensure proper disposal. Night staff also dusts and clean surfaces, including desks, windows and furniture.
• Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.
• Cleaning of cafeteria equipment before and after breakfast and lunch rush. Night staff organizes tables and chairs in cafeteria at days end.
• Follow all safety protocols and use cleaning chemicals and equipment properly.
• Spot cleaning of door and window glass.
• Have an understanding of inventory levels and replenishment needs.
• Ensure all cleaning equipment is maintained and in good working condition.
• Report any maintenance or repair needs to the Facilities Services Manager.
• Assist with setting up and breaking down for events and meetings.
