Position Summary

The Janitor is responsible for maintaining the exceptional cleanliness, organization, and safety of the high-end, luxury home furniture upholstery factory.

Key Responsibilities

• Factory Cleaning: Perform detailed cleaning and sanitization of production floors, including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming, with a focus on dust and debris removal to protect high-quality materials.
• Common Area Maintenance: Disinfect, clean, and restock restrooms, break rooms, and kitchens, including shared refrigerators and microwaves weekly.
• Waste Management: Collect and dispose of trash, recycling, and manufacturing waste in designated containers, ensuring proper handling and safety protocols.
• Office & Administrative Spaces: Vacuum all office areas weekly, disinfect restrooms, break rooms, microwaves, and refrigerators, empty trash, wipe surfaces, and maintain the front office lobby daily.
• Safety & Facility Support: Monitor and report maintenance needs, safety hazards, or needed repairs to management, uphold and enforce safety protocols.

Experience, Certifications, & Education

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Proven experience in a custodial or janitorial role, preferably in manufacturing or luxury environments.
• Familiarity with cleaning chemicals, disposal methods, and safety procedures.
• Completed OSHA training: Bloodborne Pathogen, Hazard Communication, SDS, and PPE. Recertification can be provided by Tomlinson Directional LLC.
• Must pass criminal background check and drug testing.
