Job summary

Es Vedra Cinemas in Austin is seeking a reliable janitorial team member to maintain cleanliness across theaters, lobbies and restrooms. You will sweep, mop, vacuum, and ensure a sanitary environment for guests and staff.

The role emphasizes hospitality-minded teamwork, ability to follow directions, and flexibility to work evenings and weekends. Previous custodial experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Availability to work during holidays, nights, and weekends.
• Previous experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop and/or vacuum floors and carpets.
• Empty all trash and recycling receptacles at venue.
• Maintain cleanliness of each theater.
• Clean windows, glass partitions and mirrors.
• Clean and dust all surfaces including counters, game machines, tables, bowl area.
• Apply wax to coat floors, buff and apply sealant as needed.
• Clean and service all restrooms.

Job Description

The Janitorial position is responsible for cleaning the building, removing debris and keeping all areas neat and sanitary at the venue.

Job Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop and/or vacuum floors and carpets
• Empty all trash and recycling receptacles at venue
• Maintain cleanliness of each theater
• Clean windows, glass partitions and mirrors
• Clean and dust all surfaces including counters, game machines, tables, bowl area, etc.
• Apply wax to coat floors, buff and apply sealant as needed
• Clean and service all restrooms

Required Skills

• Able to take direction and work together as a team
• Hospitality-minded attitude; friendly, outgoing and guest focused a plus

Education & Experience

• HS Diploma or GED Certification
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Previous experience preferred
• Availability to work during holidays, nights, and weekends with increased hours during peak times

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, kneeling and/or climbing stairs
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times
• Must be comfortable performing repetitive cleaning tasks, such as sweeping, mopping and wiping surfaces
