GOODWILL OF CENTRAL AND COASTAL VIRGINIA INC in Virginia Beach is seeking a part-time janitorial associate to provide daily cleaning services at designated sites. You will perform dusting, vacuuming, restroom cleaning, trash removal, and routine upkeep as outlined in contract requirements.

You must be able to pass a background check; no computer skills required; training provided; evening and weekend hours may apply; safe, respectful work environment in line with Goodwill policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED not required.
• No prior experience required; training provided.
• No computer skills are required.

• Other duties within the scope of this position may be assigned.
• Evening and/or weekend availability may be required as business needs dictate.

Position Summary

Provides janitorial/housekeeping services on a daily basis at designated sites.

• Maintains a clean environment by performing daily and scheduled tasks as required by the contract.
• Tasks include but are not limited to: dusting, vacuuming, restroom cleaning, emptying trash and replacing can liner, sweeping, dust mopping, wet mopping and glass cleaning.
• Monitors the use of supplies and request additional supplies as needed using a ‘just in time’ inventory system.

Supervisory Responsibilities

The associate in this position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

Education/Experience/Certificates/Security Clearance

• High School Diploma / GED not required.
• Previous experience is helpful but not required. Will train.
• No professional certifications are required for this position.
• The associate is not required to drive as part of their job duties.
• The associate in this position will be required to successfully pass a criminal background check. Additionally, must be able to pass a federal background check as required.
• No computer skills are required.

Physical Demands/Work Environment/Work Conditions

• The associate is required to lift up to 50 pounds with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
• The associate works in a moderate work environment with occasional exposure to extreme atmospheric conditions (temperature, noise, fumes, dust, etc.).
• The associate may be required to provide assistance with snow removal.
• The associate must be available to work evenings and/or weekends as business needs dictate.
