Steel Dynamics, Inc. is seeking a versatile Material Handling and Ground Maintenance contributor in Salem, VA. The role covers safe handling of materials, equipment operation, and site maintenance.

You will assist with loading/unloading, inventory, and site upkeep while ensuring safety protocols are followed. The position emphasizes strong communication, teamwork, and the ability to multitask across various tasks.

Responsibilities

• Dumping steel scrap and trash dumpsters.
• Loading and unloading trucks with various freight.
• Keep welding supply inventories and other inventories weekly.
• Supply Joist & Deck lines with weld wire and paint trailer dunnage.
• Lawn maintenance and mowing anything related to ground maintenance.
• Snow Removal.
• Experience with mobile equipment (Forklifts, tractors).
• Making part runs and picking up/dropping off equipment part repairs to outside vendors.
• Welding lead repair.
• Supply the lines with water, Gatorade, and ice during summer months.
