Job summary

Sunrise Enterprises is seeking a dedicated janitor for the Sutherlin location, part of our Douglas County program serving people with disabilities since 1969. The role operates Monday through Friday, 4:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m., at 3443 Carnes Road, Roseburg, OR, with a $17.00 hourly wage.

This full-time position requires attention to detail and a commitment to safety and quality. Responsibilities include cleaning, disinfecting, restocking supplies, and maintaining facility security.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• One year of janitorial experience preferred or acceptable combination of experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Clean Guru.
• General knowledge of janitorial cleaning products and equipment.
• Ability to read, write, and follow verbal and/or written instructions.
• Able to work independently with initiative and creativity.
• High attention to detail with a heart for service.
• Pass drug screen including marijuana/THC, criminal background check, which may include fingerprints, and an additional CJIS Background Check.

Responsibilities

• Review emails, work schedule, crew assignments, check equipment & supplies required to perform the work and comply with PPE requirements.
• Inform supervisor when materials or products need to be purchased.
• Perform detailed janitorial services including dusting, disinfecting, sweeping, vacuuming, washing windows, mirrors, wiping surfaces, and trash removal.
• Utilize tools, equipment, and supplies in a safe & economical manner as prescribed by company procedures, with a safety-first approach.
• Understand proper use of chemicals and SDS protocols.
• Resupply client items as instructed according to the scope of work.
• Maintain a safe work environment and notify supervisor of safety hazards.
• Maintain security of client facilities & Sunrise’s equipment and properties.
• Perform duties as requested by supervisor in a timely manner.
• Utilize janitorial software to track and document work.
• Ensure all documentation is submitted on time.
• Participate in meetings, training, and committees.
• Ensure high quality of service is delivered to janitorial clients.
• Know and follow organizational quality control guidelines.
• Conduct quality checks and document accordingly.
• Meet regular attendance requirements.
• Keep work area clean and safe.
• Other related duties as assigned.

Position acts as a janitor for the Janitorial Services Department of Sunrise Enterprises at the Sutherlin location. The janitor will be responsible for the high-quality care, cleaning, and disinfecting of their assigned building their assigned shifts. Services provided will include but are not limited to mopping, surface disinfecting, bathroom cleaning and disinfecting, window and glass cleaning, restocking of supplies, trash removal, floor buffing, carpet cleaning, and other services.

Working Conditions/ Hours

Mostly indoors, exposure to dust, noise, manufacturing & cleaning chemicals. Typically, Monday – Friday, 4:30 p.m. – 12:00 a.m. Overtime, holidays, & weekends may be required.

Physical/Mental Requirements

Driving, standing, walking, sitting, stooping, bending, climbing stairs, and lifting up to 45 lbs. Reasonable accommodations will be made for a person with a disability under ADA.

Essential Functions
