Job summary

Kinsley Power Systems is seeking a dedicated janitor to keep our facility clean and orderly. The role includes cleaning offices, restrooms, breakrooms, and common areas, as well as floor care and waste disposal to maintain a welcoming environment.

The successful candidate will have a High School Diploma or equivalent, at least two years of janitorial experience, and strong attention to detail. Candidates must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and comply with safety regulations.

• Minimum of two years’ janitor/custodian experience or equivalent.
• Factory/plant janitor or sanitation experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

SCHEDULE:

• Monday-Friday from 4:00am until 12:30pm. The schedule is subject to change according to business needs.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Janitor position is responsible for keeping our premises in a clean and orderly condition. This includes cleaning office areas, restrooms, breakrooms, hallways, and any other assigned areas. This position requires cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish. This individual is expected to actively participate with the team and contribute toward a positive work environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

This is a key position within our company that:

• Keeps all floors and rugs in a clean and attractive condition.
• Pays close attention to detail.
• Maintains a positive first impression of the facility in the eyes of the visitor by cleaning the tile floor surfaces and plastic surfaces by sweeping, wet mopping, and dry mopping these surfaces, and disinfecting sinks, counters mirrors, showers, floors, and walls.
• Collects and disposes of garbage, including recyclable materials daily.
• Cleans and maintains all cleaning supply inventory regularly.
• Cleans and maintains furniture and woodwork by washing, dusting, waxing, and polishing.
• Cleans offices and reception area daily and dusts furniture.
• Scrubs and disinfects toilets, floors, and stalls daily and cleans all sanitary fixtures and drinking fountains daily.
• Identify and report building maintenance needs promptly.
• Follow all plant, OSHA, and Safety Regulations.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS/QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent work-related experience.

Experience:

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
• Ability to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity, including keyboarding, handling paperwork, and operating office equipment.
• Ability to occasionally stand, walk, bend, and reach as required by job duties.
• Environmental exposure to warehouses stored at ambient (60-70° F), refrigerated (35° F), and frozen (minus 20° F) temperatures, as well as potential exposure to temperatures at or above 120° F.
• Walking: Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for short distances on a regular basis.
• Subject to up to at least 92db’s.
• Lifting: up to 20 lbs. occasionally.
• Walking: Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, on a regular basis.
• Reaching: Extending hands and arms in any direction.Stooping: Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist occasionally.
• Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Those activities that must

Equipment:

• Must be able to operate floor cleaning machines, buffer, and small hand tools if needed.
• Use of cleaning equipment, such as brooms, mops, etc.
• Basic computer, phone, fax, calculator, and copy machine.
