Job summary

SP+ is seeking custodial staff to maintain cleanliness and safety at the Portland Airport parking facilities. The role involves performing cleaning tasks, rounds to collect trash, restroom upkeep, and snow removal during winter, while following OSHA regulations.

Applicants will report safety concerns, maintain supply inventories, and assist customers as needed, ensuring a neat appearance and timely completion of duties throughout shifts.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning tasks per checklists and supervisor directions to remove dirt, dust, litter, and debris.
• Make rounds daily to pick up trash and debris.
• Empty all trash receptacles inside and outside, including offices.
• Note and report burned-out light bulbs and equipment malfunctions.
• Clean all spills.
• Submit repair or maintenance requests.
• Follow OSHA rules and regulations.
• Clean all restrooms.
• Maintain a daily janitorial service sheet and inventory of supplies.
• Operate commercial cleaning equipment as applicable.
• Shovel and clean snow from entrances and ramps as designated.
• Report policy violations or safety hazards to the Facility Manager promptly.
• Assist customers within the facility and resolve complaints with supervisor support.
• Maintain neat uniform appearance and arrive prepared for shifts.
• Be flexible to cover other duties as needed.

The Portland Airport is in need of custodial staff to help maintain the Parking facilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform all maintenance and cleaning tasks noted on checklists and as directed by the facility manager or supervisor to ensure that dirt, dust, litter, and debris are removed from all areas of the facility using brooms, mops, brushes, and other hand tools.
• Make multiple rounds daily to pick up and discard trash and debris.
• Empty all trash receptacles inside and outside, including offices.
• Note and report burned-out light bulbs and any malfunctions of equipment.
• Clean all spills.
• Submit requests for repairs or maintenance.
• Follow Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations.
• Clean all restrooms.
• Keep an inventory of janitorial supplies.
• Maintain a daily janitorial service sheet.
• Operate commercial cleaning equipment as applicable for the job.
• Shovel and clean snow from entrances or exit ramps and in areas designated by the Facility Manager using shovels and other cleaning equipment.
• Report any unknown, observed, or suspected violations of company policy, safety hazards, or unusual occurrences to the Facility Manager in a timely manner.
• Practice the Three Keys to Customer Satisfaction and the Five Customer Service Behaviors to ensure successful customer interactions.
• Assist customers within the facility or as directed by the Facility Manager or Supervisor.
• Resolve customer complaints independently or with the aid of a supervisor.
• Be familiar with all aspects of the operation and cover other duties as needed on an as‑needed basis.
• Maintain a neat and clean appearance and arrive in complete uniform before and during scheduled shifts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
