Job summary

Michael Foods, Inc. is seeking a part-time janitorial associate for the Wakefield, Nebraska facility. You will maintain cleanliness across lunchrooms, locker rooms, bathrooms, and office hallways while following safety and GMP guidelines.

Responsibilities include cleaning front office areas, handling uniforms and supplies, documenting activities, and supporting plant cleanliness. Weekend/holiday availability and physical capability to lift up to 75 lbs are required.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for overall cleanliness of lunchroom, locker room, bathrooms, and entryways.
• Responsible for cleaning the front office hallway and plant entrance area.
• Handles Aramark uniforms, complaints, scheduling, wraps, towels, and measurements.
• Fills the supply bins.
• Empties trash bins to compactor.
• Assists with maintaining cleanliness with the main plant, Logan View and Dryer 5.
• Orders and maintains the supply inventory (gloves, aprons, etc.).
• Documents all cleaning activities upon completion.
• Adheres to safe work practices, GMPs, sanitary conditions and reports food safety/quality issues.
• Able to work weekends, holidays and overtime as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Hours of this position are Monday through Friday, 5:00pm to 10:00pm.

Michael Foods, Inc. located in Wakefield, Nebraska is known as the Baseball Capital of Nebraska. Milton G. Waldbaum and Dan Gardner founded our egg-processing business in 1950 here in Wakefield. Our location raises chickens and produces tankers of liquid egg to be consumed by our processing facilities.

Responsibilities

Position Summary:

This part-time position is in charge of overall cleanliness of the lunchrooms, locker room, bathrooms, office hallways, and entryways throughout the facility. Using the supplies provided, they clean up and sanitize areas assigned and document all cleaning activities and perform other duties as assigned.

This position has the responsibility to always comply with Safety work rules, as well as an obligation to reinforce Safety as a Core Value. Ensures that all policies, procedures and activities, related to Food Safety & Quality, are followed and complied with uniformly, to reduce product and process variability.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Hours of this position will be Monday through Friday, 5:00pm to 10:00pm.

Qualifications

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to work independently.
• Must have excellent communications skills to assist fellow employees.
• May need to be able to lift 75lbs occasionally.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

• Ability to read a limited number of two-and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.
• Ability to print and speak simple sentences.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

• Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers.

REASONING ABILITY:

• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in oral form.
• Ability to deal with problems involving one concrete variable in standardized situations.
