JOB SUMMARY:
The primary responsibility is to provide a clean, sanitary, and pleasant hospital environment. Requires working in all areas of the facility or wherever assigned. Other responsibilities include daily documentation of work assignments and area completed, documenting patient care/non-patient care hours worked, and assisting in working with new employees and sharing knowledge.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Prefer high school graduate or GED equivalent.
Previous housekeeping experience helpful.
Must be able to follow oral or written instructions.
Knowledge and ability to use cleaning equipment.
Must have a helpful, caring attitude.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Able to work in a latex-burdened environment.
Must be capable of lifting to 50 lbs., reach, pull, stoop, and bend.
Demonstrates adequate vision, or correctable with glasses/contacts, in order to record information and read labels accurately to prepare cleaning solutions.
Able to verbally communicate effectively. Must have adequate perception of sounds or adequate hearing with corrections.
