Job summary

SSC Services for Education in Fishers, IN is hiring on-call janitors to maintain clean, safe learning environments after 1:00 pm with afternoon/evening shifts. Prior janitorial experience is preferred, and we offer training, same-day pay, and a comprehensive benefits package.

You will perform heavy cleaning duties, manage trash, sanitize surfaces, and help keep facilities up to standard. This on-call role adapts to district locations; openings exist at Hamilton SE Custodial and other sites

Qualifications

• Prior janitorial experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collects and disposes of trash following approved procedures and infection control plans.
• Dusts and damp mops floors following approved procedures.
• Moves equipment and furniture for proper cleaning and place furniture back in correct placement.
• Cleans assigned areas with the use of assigned materials and equipment. Sanitize all surfaces. Follows the eight-step cleaning procedure.
• Washes walls, windows, furniture, baseboards and other items to maintain a clean, safe environment for patients, visitors and staff.
• Seeks out areas requiring cleaning; takes initiative to complete the task.
• Completes all tasks assigned by supervisor.
• Performs tasks in accordance with all federal, state and county guidelines.
• Strips, scrubs, buffs and refinishes floors; shampoos carpet.
• Contributes to the team; exhibits professionalism with customers, fellow employees and others.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

We are hiring immediately for on call JANITOR positions.

Details

• Location: Hamilton SE Custodial - 13485 Cumberland Road, Fishers, IN 46038. (Openings at other locations within school district available) Note: online applications accepted only.
• Schedule: On call schedule; days and hours may vary. Schedules are after 1:00 pm. Afternoon and evening shifts. More details upon interview. (Full and Part Time with the flexibility to meet most scheduling needs)
• Requirement: Prior janitorial experience is preferred.
• Pay Range: $17.10 per hour to $17.60 per hour.
