Job summary

SSC Services For Education is hiring for a full-time Janitor Lead at our Hamilton SE location in Fishers, IN. The shift is Monday–Friday, 6:30 am to 3:00 pm, with opportunities to fit other district locations.

The role includes supervising janitorial teams, training staff, and ensuring safety and policy compliance. Compensation ranges from $19.10 to $20.00 per hour, with benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, company discounts, and growth opportunities, plus same-day pay.

Qualifications

• 3 years of janitorial experience and 1 year of supervisory experience required.
• Ability to lead a team and train others in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Trains team members and oversees training activities for custodial associates.
• Conducts classroom and hands-on training on customer service, safety, compliance and company policies.
• Updates and provides training on use of janitorial equipment, PPE and chemical usage/safety.
• Provides feedback on new associates during orientation period; reviews trainee records to ensure compliance.
• Performs safety reviews and building inspections to ensure OSHA and company policies are followed.

Job Summary

Summary:

Performs administrative tasks, trains team members and oversees overall training activities for custodial associates. Acts as a resource for others due to knowledge of cleaning methods, materials and heavy commercial cleaning equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conducts classroom and hands-on training on customer service, safety, compliance and company policies.
• Conducts one-on-one training as needed.
• Updates and provides training on use of janitorial equipment, PPE and chemical usage/safety.
• Copies training material and revises material as needed; conducts administrative tasks as requested.
• Provides feedback on new associates during orientation period; reviews trainee records to ensure successful compliance.
• Provides recommendations to training coordinator for disciplinary action as appropriate.
• Performs reviews, i.e., monthly safety performance review, in order to ensure compliance with OSHA, Risk Management and other applicable company/federal/state/local requirements and policies.
• Performs walk-through building inspections as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
