The position requires basic communication and the ability to follow instructions, with responsibilities ranging from trash removal to floor care and restroom cleaning. Training and possible security clearance may be required at some sites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Six months of janitorial experience or related work is acceptable.
• Ability to follow simple instructions and complete tasks; good verbal and written communication is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial duties: trash removal, dusting, vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, restroom cleaning.
• Clean windows, carpets, floors, blinds, and upholstery.
• Operate cleaning equipment (vacuums, scrubbers, extractors) per site standards.
• Follow OSHA safety standards and site-specific requirements.
• Maintain positive relationships with customers and coworkers.
• Complete all required trainings and participate in team meetings.

Position Summary

The Janitor II provides janitorial services at contract job sites in accordance with industry standards. This role supports a clean, safe, and professional environment while contributing to Assets, Inc.'s mission and core values.

1 Part time shift - Saturday and Sunday 8:30am-5:00pm or

3 Full time shifts

• 3:30PM-12:00AM OR 12:00am-8:30am (days vary, with scheduled days off)

Key Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial duties including trash removal, dusting, vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, and restroom cleaning
• Clean windows, carpets, floors, blinds, and upholstery
• Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, scrubbers, and extractors
• Follow OSHA safety standards and site-specific requirements
• Maintain positive relationships with customers and coworkers
• Participate in trainings and team meetings
• Support team operations and workplace expectations
• Provide on-the-job guidance or coaching to other employees as needed
• Complete all required training
• May be required to obtain security clearance depending on site
• Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; OR
• Six (6) months of janitorial experience; OR
• Equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to follow simple instructions and complete assigned tasks
• Ability to communicate basic information verbally and in writing

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with general cleaning and disinfecting practices
• Experience with floor care equipment
• Familiarity with janitorial tools and cleaning procedures
