As a Porter at Related Management Company (RMC), your work is essential to a clean, safe, and beautiful property. You’ll perform upkeep and janitorial duties to ensure your property is always in great condition, demonstrating pride in your building and grounds. In this role, you’ll also have the opportunity to learn new skills, working closely with the maintenance team on small repairs and preventative activities. You’ll have the opportunity to learn, practice, and apply new skills for the next steps in your career in partnership with your property’s leaders.

Responsibilities include:

• Maintain the cleanliness of the lobby, hallways, elevators, common areas, and restrooms (mop, sweep, strip/wax/buff floors, dust, vacuum, and garbage removal)
• Light maintenance may be assigned
• Provide excellent customer service to residents
• General upkeep of the buildings and grounds
• Snow removal and landscaping
• Maintain all equipment and supplies in proper condition
• Complete special projects as assigned

Compensation

• $21.67 / Hour
• Local 1 Union Benefits

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm

Qualifications

• 1-2 years prior janitor, cleaner, or porter experience
• Experience working with cleaning chemicals and reliability
• Team player with ability to work independently
• Excellent time management and work ethic
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for an 8-hour shift
• Light maintenance knowledge is a plus
