Job Opportunity: Janitor

SSC is hiring immediately for full-time and part-time Janitor positions at our Fieldale-Collinsville MS location: 645 Miles Road, Collinsville, VA 24078. Online applications are accepted only.

Schedule: Full-time and part-time shifts, Monday - Friday, with flexible hours to meet most scheduling needs. More details will be provided during the interview.

Requirements: No prior experience necessary; willing to train!

Pay Rate: $12.41 per hour.

Job Summary

Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of buildings by performing heavy cleaning duties, including floor cleaning, rug shampooing, wall and glass washing, and rubbish removal.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Collect and dispose of trash following approved procedures and infection control plans.
2. Dust and damp mop floors as per procedures.
3. Move equipment and furniture for cleaning and restore to original placement.
4. Clean assigned areas with appropriate materials and equipment; sanitize all surfaces following the eight-step cleaning process.
5. Wash walls, windows, furniture, baseboards, and other items to maintain a clean environment.
6. Identify areas needing cleaning and proactively complete tasks.
7. Complete all tasks assigned by supervisors.
8. Follow all federal, state, and local guidelines.
9. Strip, scrub, buff, and refinish floors; shampoo carpets.
10. Contribute to team efforts and exhibit professionalism.
11. Perform any additional duties as assigned.
